Root Samsung galaxy grand GT-I9082

WARNING !!! It will void your warranty and raise the bin counter .
(No need to worry though because i am working on resetting the bin counter so that your warranty comes back)

Why CWM ? Why not a pre-rooted firmware which will not void warranty?

Ans : CWM has many more functionality than stock recovery ! Rooting means to playing around with your device.If some thing goes wrong it you have to flash the whole firmware again instead,backup your ROM through CWM and if something goes wrong restore your backup AS SIMPLE AS THAT ! 

All you have to do is follow my instructions :

STEP 1 :
-Download and setup ADB drivers for your device
can be found here Drivers !

STEP 2 :
-Download the recovery from here ---> Recovery image !
-Download odin 3 from attachment below !
-Turn of your device and go to odin mode  [ Vol down + power + home button (all at the same time) ]  release it when you see GT-i9082 logo
-Press vol up to confirm

STEP 3 :
-Now that you are in odin mode connect your device via usb cable !
-Now open Odin3 3.04 that you have downloaded from the attachment !
-If there is a pop-up like Installing ADB drivers let it get finished it is usually updates !!!!
It should look like this

-Make sure the COM : xx (xx is usb port number it can be any number so dont worry about it,just verify COM is lit up)

-Extract the CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.zip ! Now select PDA and browse to where you have extracted CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5 and select it

it should look like this

STEP 4 :

-Click Start :)




Now you have a cwm touch recovery !!!!


If any one is getting md5 hash value failed while flashing rename "CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar.md5  to ""CWM-touch_i9082_chotu.tar" (remove the .md5) and then flash it !

HOW TO ROOT THE DEVICE :
-Download fix recovery from here ---> here   Many thanks to KSHHH from xda
-Download SuperSu (obviously the latest one) from here  ------> Click here !
-Copy that to externel sdcard (NOT INTERNAL ! )
-Power off your device and press vol up + power + home button (all at once)
-Select install zip from sdcard --->choose zip from sdcard ---> scroll down and select Fix Recovery.zip and again choose zip from sdcard and flash UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.05.zip


Done ! And you are ready to go

Root Uninstaller :
-If you want to unroot(superuser app) download this ---> Click here !

OPTION 1 :
-If you want to unroot keeping CWM alive then flash only the Uninstall_root_SGG.zip (like you flashed SuperSu.zip earlier)

OPTION 2 :
-If you say you don't want any customization(am 1st time guys who is asking how to unroot) and want to keep your phone dead
* follow instructions in option 1 and then flash recovery.tar via Odin ...Congo Samsung's phone is back !

Please don't mirror the CWM-recovery image or root installer.I am very much concerned about the number of downloads.

FAQ's :

-Why is my download not ending even though md5 is verified?
Ans : If you are using the USB cable which came with the phone please change it , it is damn slow !

-COM port is not turning up !!!!!!
Ans : Update your ADB driver or install it properly.

-All of the above is correct,then why the hell odin is not flashing the recovery ?
Ans : Try flashing through odin3 v3.07(try googling it for download),then too you can't get it right then the hell demon is in your mobile he'll not let you do this.

Sony Xperia P Official Android 4.0.4 ICS

This guide is intended only for Sony Xperia P having model number LT22i . Don’t try to implement it on Xperia U / Xperia Sola or on any other device else it can damage your device in anyway.

Pre-requisites:

• Charge your phone at least up to 70% so that flashing process won’t get interrupted.

• It is highly recommended to backup all your data from internal memory (includes contacts, messages (SMS/MMS), call logs, Internet APNs etc.). Your phone data will get lost after installation of this firmware (excluding External storage).

• Download Xperia Flashtool from here. We’ll be using it for flashing the firmware.

• Download Xperia P LT22i Official Android 4.0.4 ICS Firmware package (6.1.1.B.1.75) from here.

• Install Flashtool that you’ve just downloaded in your computer. For the sake of convenience, install it in root directory of C: drive.

• Navigate to ‘C: –> Flashtool –> Firmwares’ and delete all the data over there if anything is present.

• Now move ‘Sony Xperia P_6.1.1.b.1.75_Generic World.ftf’ file in the above mentioned directory.

• Open Xperia Flashtool. Select Flash option (Black Bolt icon) from the top left corner of the tool (Refer to image given below).

• It will ask you to select either Flashmode or Fastboot mode. Select Flashmode & proceed further by hitting OK button.

• On next screen, Firmware selection window will appear. On left side, select ‘LT22i (version 6.1.1.B.1.75)’.

• In right side of the tool, tick following 4 options (Caution! Don’t tick any other option than 4 mentioned below).

1. Wipe data.
2. Wipe cache.
3. Wipe apps log.
4. No final verification.

• Press OK. Wait for Flashtool to prepare firmware installation.

• Now, it will ask you to connect your phone. Before you connect your phone to computer, enter into Flashmode on it. To do so, switch off the phone completely. By holding Volume down key, connect it to PC. If done correctly, you should see a ‘green light’ on the power.

• After establishing proper connection with the computer, flashing process will start. Firmware installation process may get stuck around 93%, which is normal. It stays there for 20-30 seconds and not more than that.

• Once you get “Flashing finished” message in Flashtool, remove your phone from PC & wait for it to reboot (It may take more time than usual for booting the device, which is normal. So don’t get panic & be patient).

Congratulations! You have successfully updated your Xperia P LT22i to Android 4.0.4 ICS 6.1.1.B.1.75 firmware. If you need any help, we’re always there for you. Just comment it below & we’ll reply as quick as possible. Enjoy..

Sony Xperia Play ICS XDark Custom ROM

 

1. Download the update file from here.
2. Save it on your PC.
3. Connect the phone with the PC via USB cord.
4. Copy paste the file downloaded in step 1 from the computer to the handset.
5. Disconnect the Play and turn it off.
6. Press and hold the “Search button” and while doing this re-connect it with the PC.
7. Open command prompt on your PC: Start-> run -> cmd.
8. Enter the following commands: fastboot -i 0xfce flash boot boot.img and fastboot -i 0xfce reboot.
9. When the device reboots, press the Volume buttons for entering in recovery mode.
10. From the recovery menu select to perform a quick wipe of the system: “wipe data factory reset” and “wipe cache partition”.
11. Return to the recovery menu and this time select “install zip from sd card” and “choose zip from sd card” and pick the update file.
12. When the process ends you will be back on the recovery menu.
13. From there select “+++go back+++” and “reboot system now”.

Congratulations, you have succeed in updating the Sony Xperia Play with the latest ICS based XDark custom ROM firmware. Test the new OS and see how it works and if there are bugs in the system. Alat-alat yang diperlukan untuk Upgrade nya :

**PERHATIAN**
-Cabut SD CARD dan SIMCARD agan ketika mau upgrade agar file2 dan kontak tidak hilang

Cara Upgrade Nya :
1. Download dulu firmware dan odin+ops nya diatas
2. Extract File firmware nya dimana aja, password extract nya samfirmware.com
3. Extract File odin+ops nya dimana aja , buka odin nya. inilah gambar odin yang belum mendeteksi galaxy mini kita

4. Ubah mini anda ke download mode .Tombol volume bawah+tombol tengah+tombol on/off dalam keadaan mati sampai ada gambar seperti ini Klik Ini tuk liat gambar downloading mode

9. Klik START, tunggu proses kira-kira 5menitan
10. Tara, mini anda sudah jadi gingerbread

Root Samsung Galaxy Mini

Langkah-langkah : 

• Sebelum menginstall update.zip untuk root, pastikan baterai minimal terisi 50%

• Download Update file zip (root samsung galaxy mini yusronkrista.blogspot.com.zip)

• Sesudah mendownload Update file zip diatas, copy ke SDCard. Jangan menaruh di folder apapun supaya nanti lebih mudah untuk mencari file nya

• Matikan ponsel Samsung Galaxy Mini anda, masuk ke mode recovery (Tombol home + Tombol power)  
  

• Pilih opsi apply update from sd card menggunakan kedua tombol volume untuk menaik turunkan opsi dan tombol home untuk OK.
  

• Cari file update zip Samsung Galaxy Mini yang tadi anda copy ke SDCard.

• Setelah ketemu, tekan tombol home untuk OK dan memulai proses rooting.

• Tunggu hingga proses selesai, selanjutnya bila sudah pilih reboot now dan nyalakan kembali Galaxy Mini anda. Lihat di menu apakah ada aplikasi SuperUser terpampang nyata disana :) 

• Bila ya, selamat Samsung Galaxy Mini anda sudah berhasil di root.
